“The weather outside is frightful” but your Lawn Care and Plant Health Care specialists at Big O Tree and Lawn Service are busy thinking ahead to the upcoming growing season. We have sent out our annual renewal letters and forms. If we treated your trees, shrubbery, or lawn in the past, you should receive one of these letters. In it you will find a list of services your property has received in the past, as well as recommended additional treatments. How We’re Preparing Now
Randy, our Turf Manager, is busy improving the Lawn Care service division. He has spent many hours studying the latest information on Turf Grass Management to better understand the lawns of Central Virginia to make them perform at their best. He is also working to improve the stewardship of our environment and the Chesapeake Bay through our company’s membership with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and DCR. Finally, Randy is working to improve the results of treatments with new products, programs, and application timing.
Sten, our Plant Health Care Manager, has also been working to improve the Plant Health Care services provided by Big O Tree and Lawn Service. He recently enrolled Joseph Grendahl into the University of Maryland IPM short course to improve Joseph’s knowledge and understanding of pest, diseases, and treatment. In addition, Sten has been studying the latest in invasive insects and diseases to assure Big O Tree is at the forefront of the latest information to best serve our clients. Each year we face a new insect or disease and it takes diligence and effort to stay ahead of new developments.
